We need your help.

Inclusivity and Equity is crucial to our culture, society, our personal lives, and to the arts.

Access Acting Academy has been working tirelessly to level the playing field for blind and low vision performing artists and to help the industry both heal from its exclusionary practices and evolve into an inclusive and equitable space by training the next generation of blind actors and change makers!

We need your Help to continue this crucial and vital work. Please consider Donating to Access Acting Academy below.

Every dollar counts!
Sincerely,
Marilee Talkington

HOW TO
JOIN THIS
REVOLUTION

Sponsor a Performer

Create a Scholarship in Your name

We are actively seeking sponsors that will offer financial support for blind and visually impaired individuals who, for all the reasons we know to be true and devastatingly real right now, may not be able to afford classes, and workshops and pursue a career they deserve to.

On our end, we are 100% committed to keeping our class rates competitively low for access. We wish we could offer all the classes for free, (we do, we do!). But we need to keep this Academy open, growing, and doing the paradigm-shifting work that is imperative to our community and world right now.

Become a Builder of this Academy and the Future

We are actively looking for Individuals and organizations that believe blind and disabled artists and humans deserve high-caliber training and access to artistic expression and careers: That believe we are worthy of so much more than is currently being shown and offered in the arts and retrenchment industry: That want to take an active and vital role in shaping the future of our community, changing belief systems about what is possible, and evolving the landscape of the arts and entertainment industry. We want you.

Currently, founder Marilee Talkington is single-handedly running Access Acting Academy using her own financial resources, passion, purpose, and a lot of sweat equity. To sustain this Academy’s mission of artistic equity, grow its offerings, and support as many blind and disabled artists and future change-makers as possible, funds need to be raised to hire staff, pay for more accessibility support across disabilities, and spread the word so we can share this paradigm-shifting with more and many.

Please consider becoming part of this revolution and donating to Access Acting Academy! Let’s do this together!

Please contact us here so we can dialogue about how you can join us in changing the world.
